Regular readers of j.ronald.lee know that I’ve been in a bit of pain lately due to an unfortunate nail gun accident culminating in finger surgery last Tuesday. Today Claire thought it would be good to get me out of the house, so she drove me to Rochester to see the demolition derby at the Rochester fair.
I enjoyed this scene, not because I am celebrating the unfortunate break down of the Chevrolet, but because we’ve all been here. There are a million tasks at hand, but due to a bit of misfortune, you’re stuck with other things that must be done. The juxtaposition of the repair and the ferris wheel caught my attention.
The fair was kind of lame, but the derby was great.
