Stop (snowing)

Nothing says April Fools’ Day like a foot of snow.

I took both of these shots on Friday morning. The birch trees in the second photo are bowed down to the ground with the weight of the wet snow. Crazy weather!

Brrrrrr. I’m glad we haven’t got any snow at the moment, mind you I think I would prefer the fun of playing in the snow, than having it raining all the time ;)

It’s crazy, hopefuly here where i live snow doesn’t come back and right now is pretty warmy, i wonder where you live that you have snow right now? ;d

  5. James Lee says:

    @Jane & Phillip – I’m in New Hampshire, USA.

Yes, it’s been pretty crazy weather, but it was a lot warmer over the weekend, and the snow that fell on Friday is all gone.

  6. Roger @ sell used books says:

Yep that isn’t really cool to happen in April. I happened in Virgina just a couple weeks ago. Thank goodness for living in Florida sometimes.!`

  7. # 1 fan says:

well, at least it was pretty…… wish we could share your moisture, too. We’re 60 days without precip, and the 35-50 mph winds and blowing dust & dirt yesterday reduced visability to maybe 100 feet in many places. treacheous in a different way.
ps love the pics, would be great for December :) )

  8. It’s so warm here, I can’t even imagine snow at this time of year. The weather really pulled the ultimate prank on you, it seems. We’ll send warm wishes your way :)

  9. Maggie @ Pantone Swatches says:

It’s already April and you’re still having snow? I thought it was April showers, not a dump of snowfall! The last, lonely Birch tree looks like it’s about to topple over.

Wow, I’m so glad I stumbled on this, I love your pics. I also am ready to see some spring pics:) Thanks for posting, I’ll check back often….

I’ve never been a trooper in the snow. Unless it’s on the slopes and I have my snowboard, I can’t be in snow. It’s cold, hard to drive in, and did I mention cold? This was a bad April Fool’s Joke for you.

  16. I love the snow because how it makes everything look so calm and simple looking. Everything is white and only minimal color showing through from cars to signs and pavement. How long did the snow last?

  17. This isn’t a funny joke. I have a love/hate relationship with snow because it’s pretty to look at, but prevents me from doing anything outside. My father lives in Seattle and lately they’ve been getting snow each winter. Kind of makes it hard to visit because flights are delayed or cancelled. Never again will I sleep at the airport.

    • James Lee says:

Sleeping at the airport is no fun.

I don’t really mind the snow – usually enjoy it, but this particular day, I enjoyed finding a stop sign to frame the conversation. :)

The tree picture has such a cool effect! I am sure that you haven’t don’t anything with the coloring but it is mesmerizing with its duo-tone.
