Each spring, ferns grow new leaves (fronds) over the fronds from the previous year. While ferns are fairly tolerant plants requiring little maintenance to thrive, the older fronds should be trimmed each spring before the new fronds grow..

Seriously speaking…. I have seen quite a lot of pictures but a picture of this in depth meaning was for the first time…. Great photography mate…. Keep up the work..
The sporophytic plant body of fern is divided into root, stem and leaves. Ferns have two types of conducting tissues: xylem and phloem. Xylem conducts water and minerals while phloem transports organic food from one part to another. They show alternation of generations and the sporophyte is the most prominent.
In fern, reproduction takes place by two methods: vegetative reproduction and reproduction by spores.
I only knew that there is a spring fern after I saw this. I thought there is only one kind of it.
