Happy Thanksgiving, 2010

These are pumpkins I grew this year.

So very much to be thankful for today. Family that is healthy and employed comes to mind more than anything. The new job is going really well, and life is just… well… good.

Happy Thanksgiving – may your days be filled with peace and contentment.

PS Yesterday we were at Costco havin’ a pre turkey day hot dog and Ron got up to refill his drink – laughed and said, “free refills: all the water you want”. And in that moment, as we all know if we stop to remember, we were incredibly grateful – much of the world does not have that basic need met: all the clean drinking water we want is an amazing blessing.

I really like how your photo came out. Very well done.

Thanksgiving? Yeah, we don’t celebrate it over here in Sweden though, but this year our local newspaper tried to push a bit on that one, with the reason that even if we don’t have the same history, we still have something to be thankful for. And I agree on that, so perhaps someday in the future. The turkey seems delicious at least.

first of all happy belated thanksgiving from here in the U.K. Just a quick note to say how much i liked your photographs especially this one that seems to have 2 or 3 different focal points in the same photo. It is one of those photos that makes you go cross eyed if you stare too long!

I’m so happy to know that you have a great time in your thanksgiving celebration. Aside from that I really appreciate your photo. The way you capture your subject and the angle positioning is cool. You have a good choice and style when it comes to photography. Just continue on what you’ve started. Great job!

  11. I love the pumpkins. You have an eye for art!

  12. I think this pic is amazing. It does kinda look like an altar though. ;)

  13. Sorry, for double posting…realized I didn’t finish my thought. Duh moment. What I get for watching the news while checking out your site…ha/ha
I meant looks like an altar to pumpkins. When did you start worshiping them? I guess since you managed to grow them. Our pumpkin plants didn’t make it through our summer.
