For the second year in a row, I took pictures at this year’s Halloween party for the kids of my coworkers. For the second year in a row, I’ve been graciously allowed to share some of those photos with you. Here’s a little strawberry. So cute!
Part of what makes the day a success is we have lots of activities for the kids. This year, that included balloons, crafts, a small petting zoo, and as modeled here, Halloween themed tattoos:
It’s a lot of fun for me, and most of the kids seemed to enjoy it, too. They get to show off their costumes, meet their parents coworkers, and practice Halloween a week before the actual day.
Last year, I set up shop in the lobby and tried to catch everyone as they walked through. This year, I set up in a conference room just off the lobby and took pictures on a black backdrop I sewed the night before. It made it a lot more enjoyable for me, and I think it’s good for the kids, too. If they don’t want their picture taken, they don’t come in my studio. No pressure. As a photographer, I got to control the lighting and the background, so I feel like I got better shots.
