If it has a lens, I’ll shoot it. That doesn’t mean I’ll get a great shot, but I’ll try!
I’m still learning my craft, but if you wander back to the earlier entries, you’ll see I’ve come a long ways. During that time, I’ve shot Kodak, Pentax, Sony, and Apple (iPhone 3Gs and iPhone 4).
Most of the images you will find, however, come courtesy of the Nikon D90.
Above you’ll see my main camera, a Nikon D90 with the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR (taken with the Sony DSC-W290).
Other lenses in my bag:
- AF-S VR Zoom-NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED
- AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D
I am currently saving up for a couple more prime lenses:
- AF NIKKOR 24mm f/2.8D
- AF-S VR Micro-NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED
…and one or two of these.
Seems like you’ve definitely developed some more pictures since this. Your photos are great and just looking through your album, I really like your “people” folder. How old is this photo?
I switched over to Nikon from Canon a couple of years back. Am really enjoy the extra edge Nikon images seem to give – also noticing a better low light performance
Still using the D90? If so, how do you like it?
Still using the D90, and still loving it. I know I’ll upgrade to a nicer body in the future, but that will be after I have more sales under my belt so paying customers contribute to the cost!
It’s not bad! It is important that it performs all the necessary tasks.
Ooooh, pretty. I really want to get a nice SLR but they’re so expensive. For now I’m working on my Iphone and it does what it’s supposed to do. someday I’ll move up! It’s a goal of mine to start trying my hand out at photography, I’ve always loved taking pictures.

Chase Jarvis is an amazing photographer.
Have you got your new lenses yet? I only ask because I recently treated myself to a new DSLR and 100-400mm zoom telephoto for wildlife photography. I’ve been stunned by the image quality you can get from modern equipment although I’ve had to invest in a couple of new hard drives to store all the new images.
Nikon D90 looks very neat. How I wish I could be able to learn some photography skills and capture some neat images. Good luck in continuing to learn your craft and you got some nice cameras too.
I think you should buy sth wider. Dont know if 24 mm is too short. Maybe you should consider buing sth wider than 20 mm.
Dont know the Nikkon cause I;m pentax user.
Wow,
You have amazing eye which captures beutifull pictures. Great job and keep going this way
Best Regards
Bartek
I wanted to learn how to take pictures properly, but don’t have an SLR.
Hey, That’s a nice picture. I’ve been wanting a SLR for a while. However, you’ve motivated me even more. I’ll have to take a class or something to learn how to use it properly. I’m currently learning how to make an iphone app. Perhaps I should create an iphone app for SLR users. That would be pretty cool.
this nikon camera is amazzing a big fan of nikon but this one is absolutley amazing but it’s realitively a little expensive.
I think that 28mm f/1.8 it is a better choose than 24mm f/2.8.
Who cares what camera one uses ? You put a camera in a good photographers hand and there will be good photographs…pretty simple actually. I don’t think that for example Bresson had a D90…:-) And as for your photography…nice pics. Looking really fine…
I love Nikon D7100 because more easy to use then D90
I’ve always been a Canon user myself, but you seem to be doing alright with a Nikon
We have a nikon d90 camera but i can’t take a good shot on it. any advice to or help to make the photo looks professional.
Try handing it to someone who takes good photos and see how they do. If they can’t get good shots, the camera needs some work. If not, try a photography tutorial site like Fro Knows Photo.
NIKON is the best
Nice gear James.And wonderful photos
