Love Letter

love letter

There are days when you’re more happy to see the mail than others. This is one of those days.

  1. “Sealed with kisses”. So cute and I love doing this with my letters to my best friends. I wonder what the mailman thought.

  2. I want a love letter like this! So did your wife get upset? 😉

  3. Uri Sheinbaum says:

I would love to receive a letter like this in the mail. Instead, I get letters from friends that are sealed with tape because they hate licking the envelopes. What was the color format you used?

    • Good question, Uri.

The shot was taken in natural light, f/5.0, 1/50 second, ISO 1000. I took it with the Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 lens.

Processing was mostly exposure related. Blacks +21, Recovery +25, Exposure +0.57, Clarity +42, Contrast +41, Brightness +71, and Saturation -71. If you have Adobe Lightroom, that should make sense. For anyone else, I amped both the dark aspects and the lighter aspects of the photo, then reduced the color saturation substantially to age the photo.

Prior to that, it didn’t have the romantic feel that I wanted, but by aging it, I got what I was looking for.

  4. Please tell me this was from your wife otherwise you’ll have some explaining to do 😉 I would be happy to receive this in my mailbox too! Happy 4th!

  5. Very romantic!

  6. I like your this image of love letter so much.. and we can say this image is alive image that can say everything.. 8. I love this picture 🙂

  9. Dr. George Suarez says:

  10. Dr. George Suarez says:

Nice picture. I wish you could have shown the whole letter.

  11. Ah, love… The quickest way to put a smile on someone’s face.

  12. So sweet…a love letter sealed with a kiss..I wonder if people still send love letters through snail mails nowadays considering that almost everybody have email addresses now.

  13. I also remember the scented stationary papers and the cute stickers to seal the envelops…memories… :)(

  14. Its very rare nowadays, you can see lots of couples but hard to find a very sweet one.
