I already shared these images on Flickr and Facebook, but we had so much fun defenestrating our pumpkins this year, I couldn’t resist a quick post here on the blog. When I look at these pictures, it really makes me want to build a catapult before next October.

This reminds me of some of the old David Letterman skits where he’d drop something like a watermelon off the top of the building and then photograph it. Well done.

I actually do not own a strobe… It’s so high on my list of things to own, but I admit, I was waiting for Nikon’s next generation (the SB-600 was rumored for replacement for a while now). Now that the SB-700 is out, I will probably buy it.
So… what you have here is the headlights of my car supplying the lighting. Xenon head lamps at 4:20 p.m.

The shadow on the left side of the frame is from a wheel barrow filled with the first seven pumpkins.
