A jug of wine…

bread and wine

As written by Omar Khayyám and translated by Edward FitzGerald:

A Book of Verses underneath the Bough, A Jug of Wine, a Loaf of Bread, and Thou.
Beside me singing in the Wilderness; Oh, Wilderness were Paradise enow!

I’d like to reshoot this without the butter, but I ate the bread and drank the wine.

  1. Recognize the words to song, remember melody…
that bread looks absolutely FaBuLouS!!!! I’m sure the butter did nothing but enhance the flavor.
But I’m glad you told me there was a jug of wine, I didn’t quite recognize that in the background.
Another time, tho, I look forward to sharing with you.
Maybe we’ll even sing a little, in honor of others of course…. !

  2. # 1 fan says:

Oh, I forgot the LOL…. “bottle of wine, fruit of the vine…” let’s sing along rofl

  3. Hehe! that’s funny..the poem reeks of eccentricity…

the bread slices look very soft……
