Stikfas

stik-fas

Really one of the best toys invented in the last couple of decades would have to be Stikfas. We discovered them at Think Geek, but they’re available lots of places.

They look like the plastic of a model car when you buy them; lots of molded pieces attached together. You break the pieces off and then snap them together to make the figures. This photo does not do them justice; they’re so┬ácustomizable, you’ll play with them for hours. They come with stickers to decorate the figures, and there are lots of other types of accessories. Weapons, tools, animals, dinosaurs, vehicles, armor, and more.

Good times!

  1. I’ve never heard of these, they sound like a version of transformers čść

  2. You should take a picture with Luigi and Isabella. I think they’re in the basement. čśë

  3. Yes, I agree with you.

Any toy that allows for the person to redefine play in accordance with his/her imagination encourages creativity. And, it is creativity that is at a premium in the new millenium.

Although our household has used Lego and model train layouts to foster the same goal, Stikfas certainly fill the bill.

    Thanks for the article.

Our source for creative toys is ToysPeriod. We like them because they are also very good to the environment in all they do.

I would appreciate your review of ToysPeriod at some point in the future. Their articles read by someone in the know artistically would be interesting.

As I mentioned, in our family’s view, ToysPeriod is a leading online shop specializing in lego sets and model railroad equipment.

Doesn’t look much but they can be actually be pretty cool. They seem like a very less complicated version of Gundam as it has fewer parts and no stickers. lol Might be fun for kids.

  5. I remember these! They don’t look that great in the picture, (although I like how you’ve posed them lol!) but they’re so brilliant to play with. They can really help a child build on their imagination. I saw some in a shop near me but they had such a tiny range compared to what you can actually pick up. We used to have loads, with all the stickers and everything. I remember having a few multicoloured beings lying around.
