downed tree

On Blueberry Road (in Raymond, NH), a pine tree over 60 feet tall went in the back yard. It could have been catastrophic. A tree that large ways several tons, and it would have pushed through the house like a knife through butter.

I took this photo while it was snowing (thus the white blur).

New Hampshire power outage update: We were restored to power late Sunday, so it was a three day outage for us.

  1. Wow.. Judging by your last few posts, I think it’s safe to say you guys got hit a lot harder than us in Mass. Very close call in this picture!

Wow, sorry to hear you didn’t have power for 3 days, that would drive me CRAZY! It’s a really good thing that tree fell where it did, funny how small little things like that can actually be a big difference that could impact your life majorly. Good to know everything is okay. 😀

  3. I guess your lucky in a way, it could have been worse. I know the difficulties of working with the snow, its like that most of the year up here in Alaska.

  4. We were surprisingly unaffected by all of the shenanigans. I haven’t stumped through the woods yet to see what fell on our property, but I try to keep it clear by cutting up the dead stuff in the summer, so I think I’m a little less susceptible to damage. We do have some oak on the back of the house that are tall enough that they would hit us if they fell directly our way.

@Ashley – glad you stopped by, hope you come back again! If you could do me a favor and type “Ashley @ Anchorage Photography” when you leave a comment, only “Anchorage Photography” will be used as the link for your key words. I edited this for you so you could see what it will look like.

    Cheers!

Thank God the pine tree didn’t fall upon the nearest house otherwise it would be a big disaster.

  6. Oh no! The tress falling down. We should be careful each day. Because we don’t know when disaster comes. Lets pray always Thanks for your pic it serve us as our awareness. More power to your site! God bless 😉

That indeed is a close call. Nice picture!

  8. It would have become very serious, but the people are really lucky that they were saved from the mishap.

  9. Thank god it laid in the backyard not in the frontyard otherwise it could have harmed the people.
