We were actually down to 46 degrees. Yuck. My husband is worried about how high the bills get so I keep the temp at a level that I can stand without shaking. I do dress warm with socks and plenty of blankets on my bed. I just can't stand the cold. It does get cold here and we do get our share of snow. Not as much as you get but we get some. About the pic I think they loose the point that as a country if we don't protect ourselves we would be taken over. I do like our freedom and my choice to do pretty much what I please. While their point is fine I don't think it is realistic. Nice thought though. OMG I would die, I need our house to be warm.
